The deliveries are coming…
The first delivery from Amazon was the propane regulator (needed to be able to dial down the flame size to more minute differences), which came in on Thursday May 7th. Unfortunately, someone messed up the order and the wrong item arrived. So I got in touch with Amazon, and while they’re usually very good with fixing mistakes quickly, they were only able to offer a replacement by May 18th (11 days later!). As much as I complained the customer service rep insisted that it’s not up to them, and Amazon is delaying all non-essential shipments. The good news is, the correct item actually arrived on Monday May 11th.
Next up was the actual smoker. It was originally scheduled to be delivered on Friday May 15th, but to my surprise was actually delivered late Friday May 8th. It arrived too close to Shabbos, so I had to take it into my house and leave setting it up for another day (which will be in a separate post).
The final delivery as of now was the thermometer, which arrived on Friday as well.
I’m still waiting for the gasket to keep the smoke in, that should hopefully arrive at some point today.
To be continued…
